Day One Arrival (Optional for Arts and Sciences, Business and Nursing Students)

Please remember that Day One is optional for all non-engineering students. If you choose to attend Day One of the PittStart session, your first stop on campus is determined by whether or not you will be staying overnight in the Litchfield Towers residence hall:

• If you are staying overnight in the residence hall, go directly to Panther Central (located in the Litchfield Towers main lobby) beginning at 1:00 pm to check into the on-campus accommodations. Students will then be directed to Alumni Hall. Students should arrive at the Alumni Hall Ballroom by 2:00 pm for PittStart Check-In.
• If you are not staying overnight in the residence hall, you may go directly to Alumni Hall for PittStart Check-In at 2:00 pm. PittStart program events begin promptly at 2:00 pm. However, students do have the option to arrive later on Day One. Extended PittStart Check-In will be offered in the Alumni Hall Ballroom until 5:00 pm. We highly recommend that all students attending Day One of the PittStart session arrive prior to 5:00 pm.

Engineering Day One Arrival (Mandatory)

The Swanson School of Engineering has carefully designed a two-day program for all incoming freshmen. Therefore, all engineering students must arrive on Day One for the start of their PittStart session. Your first event will be the Engineering Opening Session in the 7th floor auditorium of Alumni Hall. This event will begin promptly at 12:15 pm.

Following the Engineering Opening Session, students that are staying overnight in the residence halls should report to Panther Central (located in the Litchfield Towers main lobby). You may check into the on-campus accommodations between 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm. All students should arrive at the Alumni Hall Ballroom at 2:00 pm for PittStart Check-In.

Day Two Arrival

Please remember Day Two of the PittStart session is mandatory for all students. Please refer to the bullets below for your school-specific Day Two programming.

• School of Arts and Sciences: Day Two PittStart Check-In occurs from 7:30 am to 8:15 am in the Alumni Hall Ballroom. If you checked in on Day One of the PittStart session, you do not need to check in again and may proceed to the first event at 8:30 am.
• College of Business Administration: Day Two PittStart Check-In occurs from 7:30 am to 8:15 am on the second floor of Sennott Square. If you checked in on Day One of the PittStart session, you do not need to check in again and may proceed to the first event at 8:30 am.
• School of Nursing: Day Two PittStart Check-In occurs from 7:30 am to 8:15 am in room 239 of Victoria Hall. If you checked in on Day One of the PittStart session, you do not need to check in again and may proceed to the first event at 8:30 am.
• Swanson School of Engineering: Please remember that Day One is mandatory for all freshman Engineering students. Day Two begins at 8:30 am with mandatory advising meetings. Locations for these meetings will be assigned on Day One of the PittStart session.
