Student Organizations: As an incoming freshman, I wish I had realized how many student organizations there are at Pitt. I knew the University offered a lot for the students, but it wasn't until I attended the Activities Fair that I realized the spectrum of the diverse activities, organizations, and clubs that are offered for student involvement.

Finals: Finals week around here is CRAZY but I have found the TA study sessions to be especially helpful. I try to make my studying less boring by meeting with friends in Market Central and grabbing a bite to eat while studying, which is also a good way to relieve some of the stress of studying.

Food at Pitt: Speaking of eating, I eat a TON and have not yet been bored by the food selection both on and off campus. On-campus eateries offer such a wide selection of food that you can almost always have a different meal. Off-campus has a great selection of ethnic and American food, all within a close walk. I find my favorite restaurant is Joe Mama's.

Residence Hall Life: Dorm life for freshman is great. The dorms are always active and fun places to be, and the ResLife Staff does a great job of facilitating weekend activities that usually involve free food. Towers is the place to be for meeting new people and building relationships that will last for years.

Choosing a University: Selecting the college that is right for you is a difficult choice to narrow, but in my search, I found nowhere that was as lively, student-oriented, and welcoming as Pitt. When I came here, I felt as if I was home, and I never looked back.
