The Panther Card (Pitt ID) is your key to various resources within the university, starting during your PittStart session. You will need this card to access residence halls, eat meals and to take city transportation. We highly encourage all students to obtain their Panther Card during their PittStart session. If this is not possible, a student may return to campus after their PittStart session has occurred to receive the card.

Panther Cards are issued at Panther Central 7 days a week from 7:30 am - 10:00 pm. To obtain your ID, you must present a form of photo ID such as driver's license or a passport or two forms of non-photo ID such as a birth certificate, baptismal certificate or social security card.

Panther Central is located in the lobby of the Litchfield Towers. The friendly staff at Panther Central can assist you with housing, food services, Panther Funds, your Panther Card and information about many other university services.
